Dear friends,

I invite you to visit our website in order to explore our project in depth. We are describing it as master classes, but only as a form of convention. The raison d’Ítre for the project first and foremost is that I would like to share my thirty years’ experience in the theory and practise of working as a conductor in Russia and Belarus as well as in the international arena with young people from different countries.

I also have one special objective, which makes our project different from master classes which are now popular in several countries. This difference lies in that I wish to create a real sense of community while we work together, a “family” for the week, within which we will live and share the opportunity to exchange ideas, discuss problems and expand our knowledge of our profession and also of the cultural history of Russia.

Another important thing I would like you to note is that while the course is not expensive, it is still possible for us to offer each participant a large amount of time to work in front of the orchestra. I believe that the special themes each year will be interesting and attractive for you and hope that after your first visit you may become a regular participant in our master classes, which will be conducted in English.

In addition to the preparation of repertoire working with pianos and in analysis, each participant will have no less than eight three-hour sessions scheduled with the National Symphony Orchestra of Belarus. Each one (maximum eight) in addition to his/her three hours in front of the orchestra will have an additional twenty one hours observation of fellow students working with the orchestra.

And so I invite you to examine the website and the information regarding the schedule of the week and important practical details concerning travel, preparation in advance, what to bring, what to expect, where to stay!

We will look forward to hearing from you.

With warm regards
