Posted on 01-16-2005 07:26:24 pm by 1: Starting ideals This league is about fun and to reflect that all Admins will only carry out the will of the clan representatives on misbehavior dealt with through the Court House. 2: Court House This will be formed from 1 representative from each clan, together with the named league staff who will ALL have an equal say. Disputes will be dealt with here, together with removals. There will be a time limit set on decisions to be made. Courthouse is for real disputes either a played game issue or inappropriate actions by a team/team memberIf the clan representatve misses a vote – its his / her responsibility alone. 3: Clans A clan has to have a minimum of 10 ACTIVE players. Clans will be allowed as many teams as can be formed but MUST always keep teams at 10 players. Language within the league is English Before the Court House forms clans accepted will be by the Admins only – in further seasons the standing Court House can deal with this. 4: Players and clan eligibility Each clan is solely responsible for maintaining the list for selection and actualisation. Anyone who has played for one clan during the season will not be allowed to play for another clan during the same season. This is the sole reponsibility of the clan and its representative to make sure its correct. The Players List is to be submitted at the beginning of the season. Changes can be made at any time, however new players can only play after a waiting period of seven days starting from the day they are added to the Players-List. The same applies with name changes. The status of a player can be checked in the Players-List. All players must play in both Zone and in IP-games with the name indicated in the Players List. If a clan / player refuses to conform to this rule, the clan will be decided on by the court house. 5: League Staff Before the Court House forms the League Staff will decide about the inclusion or exclusion of clans as well as about everything related to the league operation. At present the following persons belong to the League Staff Team: Forge_NazGul , Vindaloo_Brit , RU_Old_Fool, 1 Opening Still After the formation of the Court House the admins will be only carry out the wishes of the court House. However admin will have equal votes and will take over if the court house fails to decide. In all matters site admin will have the final word 6: Season Each season begins with the formation of the divisions, where each league consists of at least 6 and at the most 12 teams (clans have to play each other once). There is promotion and demotion through the leagues. After the regular season the top 2 teams will be promoted the bottom 2 teams relegated. The length of a season depends on the size of the leagues. This involves one week allocated for a match (each match consisting of one game) plus an additional week at the end of a season for eventual “catch up” matches / tiebreakers. In case of point equality between two or more clans the direct comparison decides. If the direct comparison is tied too, a deciding match (respectively a deciding round) takes place on the map “AoC League Michi”. Participation at the League is free for all Clans. Eventual Costs (Website, etc.) are being paid by the members of the League Staff. 7: Game Settings The game being in use will be AOK: The Conquerors with the latest (official) patch (actually 1.0c). Settings: · All games are played as a 3vs3. If both clans agree they can – exceptionally – play 2vs2 or 4vs4 instead. Note: A clan can’t demand a 2vs2 or 4vs4 without agreement from the other clan. · Game Mode: Random Map · Victory Condition: Conquest · Selectable Maps: Valid are the following versions of Michi Non Rush: “AOC League Michi”, “The Correct Michi Non Rush Forest” and “The Clean Michi”. · Civilisations: Koreans and Turks are banned. Civilisations must pe picked, using Random Civilisation is not allowed. · The use of any kind of cheats, hacks, … is not permitted and will, if intentionally done, be punished with the permanent exclusion of the player from the league. · Population Limit: 200 · Game Speed: Normal. Slow or Fast can be used with agreement of both clans. · Map Reveal: Explored (Normal can be used if both clans agree). · Other Settings: Default / Normal. · Record Game must be activated. If the recorded file is corrupted (for example after abort), it is recommended (at least with disputes during or at the end of a game) to make screenshots. 8: League Operation and how to deal with problems During the season each clan faces each other clan once. All games shall be completed in the given week. In exceptional cases (and after previous arrangement with the League Staff) games might be moved into a later play-week but have to be played as soon as possible. Playing matches in advance is not permitted at all. If a clan does not appear for a scheduled game without excuse (delay for more than 20 minutes will be regarded as absence) or only with an insufficient number of players, a repetition date is to be set. If the clan does not appear to the repetition date, the game will be counted as a win for the respective opponent, if not the clans agree among each other on another repetition date. Matches that have not been played for whatever reason will be decided by the League Staff according to the indebtedness principle. Result arrangements (without playing) between the clans are not admissible. In case of disputes only entries in the forum / court house will be dealt with. A clan that fails to play three consecutive games, post three consecutive recorded games or report the Fair-Play Rating three consecutive times will be excluded. 9: Results and Tables: For a win you receive three points, for a tie two points and for a loss one point (note that loss points will only be awarded for teams that actually have played!). Ties are only recognised as such, if both clans agree on it in the game (Game Chat!) and the recorded game is submitted (forum, email) to the League Staff. · In the case a team leaves or is being removed from the league during the season, each game they played will become a win to the opposing team regardless of the actual result. Also the rest of their scheduled games will be treated as byes with the opposing teams automatically receiving 3 points for the win. · With so called “never ending games” each clan may demand a draw after 2:30 h play time, if not the difference in points is bigger than 10.000 (in this case evaluation by points). To avoid disputes it is absolutely necessary to make a screenshot with switched on clock at exactly 2:30 h. · If a result is in dispute (e.g. because of game abort) the recorded game including a statement has to be sent via email to the League Staff. · The result outlines and rankings are updated usually at the beginning of a week. Eventual mistakes have to be reported via email to the League Staff. How to deal with problems during a game: · Players with a ping >1000 (tracked in game and compared to a “general RTS-League player” – living in Europe/USA and using 64k connection) aren´t allowed to play. Players with a ping >800 aren´t allowed to play in 3v3 or 4v4 – games. In case of a dispute make screenshots and contact a member of the League Staff or post in the Court House · If a game begins to lag badly, pause and try to fix any possible problem (All players close all applications). If there is no improvement, save the game and restore (Restart if less than 15 minutes played). If there is still no improvement, play a new game with other players or send the game to the League Staff for decision. · If both clans agree to play a 4vs4, then the League Staff will not decide the match as a result of unplayable lag. · If a player’s connection aborts, the game must be restored (restarted, if game lasted less than 15 minutes). If one team’s connection aborts three times in an attempt to play a game, the game is automatically lost. · All saved games must be restored within 20 minutes. · If the game cannot be restored due to technical reasons, then the game is automatically lost by the the clan with the technical difficulties. Exception: If the losing clan was clearly ahead by points at the time the game crashed they may petition the League Staff to decide. 10: Posting of Results: · All results have to be posted without delay in the designated forum. For posting a game and uploading the recorded file (we ask you to rename the file before upload) the respective home-team is solely responsible. Careful and correct filling out of the forms is required. · Uploading a recorded game, but not posting the map and the names of all involved players, can be skipped if the game had to be restored within the first 30 minutes game-time.
