The Great Potter

Well, now to encourage you. There was a great warier of the Bible who had slew many with thejaw bone of an animal. He had achieved a great victory and was inthe heavinly realm, but soon the emotion faded down and thus hefell down into the casm of the great depths. He found a place tohide and was filled with fear and dread and sorrows. He fearedthat all would kill him after having been in the hand of the AllMighty and been his tool. It was as though he had been droppedand shattered like a clay pot. But the great potter did notdispise the broken pot. The potter knelt down and picked up thosepieces ever so gently. Tears streamed gently down his blessedface as his heart mourned for his blessed man creation. Afterhaving carefully having picked up every shard of the man thepotter began to preform his glorious healing work on the brokenman. This work took the great potter much time because he stoppedoften to speak with his father, to worship him and commune withall the beloved both in heaven and on the earth, through hisspirit that had decended as a dove. One day the potter emerged from his work room in heaven carryingsomething that was hidden from view. His face was somber andworshipfull. He went to his fathers great throne room and bowedbefor him as he placed the gift down at his feet. “Myblessed father I have this precious gift for you. I have createdthis to give you the glory for all your love and compassion thatyou show through all living and created things that can be seenand that are hidden from the eyes of mankind..” The greatpotter removed his sandels and bowed low with his face to theglassy sea and he praised his father with all the elders and thecreatures that flew about the glorious realm. “My son you are a joy and a great blessing to me. Come upand sit with me and show me this precious thing that you havebrought.”The great potter rose slowly picking up the gift. He approachedhis father who picked him up just as a grand father would pick upa small grand child. He put his arm around the potter and smileddown at the boy. The boys face lit up with a smile and a glow about it. “Father!”The boys little voice crackled. The boys hands were shakey andunsteady as his excitement built up. “I have a speial giftfor you. I formed it with my own hands from cley!”The great grand man steadied the package and put his arm so itencircled the boy. He opened the gift slowly and with greatthought and a loving look on his face. He lifted the item fromthe paper and looked at it with a smile that grew larger and morepronounced as he studied the item. It was silent for a long timeas the man and the boy savored this priceless moment. “What you have made me is the most beautiful pot. It is notperfect, but it is uniquely special and I love it. I shall put itwhere all can see it. Then all will know what a great sacriphicemy son has made and they will also be able to see the everlastingcommitment that you have for all things.”The boy smiled and slid down from the man’s lap. The great manrose and put the pot in a place where all would see it. A few days later the rain began to fall and the little boy becamealarmed. “Oh! Father the pot I gave you is outside in thegreat storm!” The boy’s face was filled with great fear andconcern. The man looked down at the boy with a warm calming expression.”Yes, my son the gift you gave me is in the storm, butnothing will happen to it that I can not protect it from. Trustme and see that I am there watching over the pot and that itstrial is not unknown to me..”The boys face became calmb and his fear was blown away like fog. “Come let us recline together and when we are done the rainwill have stopped.”After the boy and the man had finished reclining the man motionedfor him to follow him. The man and the boy stepped out onto thesteps. The man loked into the grey clouds and said, “See theband that is in the sky?””Yes.””This is my sign to you that when your pillow is filled withtears and your world is flooded with sorrows I shall be there andknow that I am now even there in the midst of your storm.””The boy ran over to where the pot had been placed and foundsomething quite different about it.”What do you see asked the great man.””There is dirt and a beautiful living plant in the pot Imade for you.””Yes my son. I took the thing that you gave life to and Imade it produce a plant that is filled with goodness. Some day hewill produce perfect tasty fruit. The storm the pot and the plantendured were not of my original design, but I will cause good tobe produced. From the man’s great sorrows he will be enriched andproduce even greater things as he gets stronger and relys on thewatch care I will freely offer and give to him.”Be blessed this day,
