“Getting Started” Category
For POP account, enter your_username@pop.surf-ici.com. For example, if your username was JDoe, you would put JDoe@pop.surf-ici.com, or jdoe@pop.surf-ici.com. Case does NOT matter.
For Real Name, enter your first and last name. For example, John Doe.
For Return Address, enter your_username@surf-ici.com. This is different from POP Account in that the “pop” is not there–DO NOT put a “pop.” anywhere in this box. You MUST enter your return address here, or else people will never be able to send you messages when they reply to yours. For example, if your username was JDoe, you would put JDoe@surf-ici.com, or jdoe@surf-ici.com. Again, case does not matter.
Leave Winsock as the connection method.
“Hosts” Category
For SMTP, enter pop.surf-ici.com. Leave Ph: and Finger: blank.
“Checking Mail” Category (optional)
You may want to put a checkmark for Save Password so you don’t have to type your password every time you check your e-mail.
Click OK. To check your e-mail for the first time, click the Check Mail icon in the Eudora Toolbar, or press CTRL+M. Youwill be asked for your password. Enter the same password as your dial-up password, and any messages will be retrieved if you have any.
Congratulations! That’s it, and you should be readyto use Eudora Light.
