Turkish Banking Association POS outsourcing feasibility projectPOS Sistemleri Ortak Çalışma Grubu sekizinci toplantısını 10 katılımcı banka ve Artı Danışmanlık şirketinin de katılımıyla 11 Haziran 2003 tarihinde Birliğimiz Akmerkez ofisinde yapmıştır.Toplantının ilk bölümünde Artı Danışmanlık şirketinin yaptığı “POS Terminal Yönetimi, Outsourcing Seçeneği Değerlendirme Raporu”na bankalar tarafından yönlendirilen sorular görüşülmüş, anlaşılamayan hususlar konusunda Artı Danışmanlık şirketinin açıklamaları dinlenmiştir. Toplantının daha sonraki bölümünde Yönetim Kuruluna sunulacak rapor için hazırlıklara başlamış, raporun e-mail grubu ortamında hazırlanmasına karar verilmiştir. Çalışma Grubu; POS programlarının POS cihazları üzerinde değil, switch merkezinde tutulmasıyla POS cihazlarının yüksek kapasiteli cihazlar olmasına gerek kalmadığını düşünmüş ve Artı Danışmanlık şirketinin raporunun bu doğrultuda revize edilmesinin talep edilmesine karar vermiştir.
Anadolu Kredi Kartı (AKK)Anadolu Kredi Kartı Turizm ve Tic. A.Ş. ( AKK ) provides third party credit card processing services in Turkey. Currently the company is the market leader in third party credit card issuing and acquiring services.Due to the transactions performed in Monte Carlo by a credit cart customer of one of the banks served by AKK, a dispute raised between Europay France and AKK. As the dispute could not be resolved within the general rules of credit card transactions, AKK filed a legal suit against Europay France in Turkish courts. Since the dispute could not been solved within a reasonable period, Europay International suggested to solve the problem by a Conciliation Committee formed solely for this dispute. Arti Strategy represented AKK in this committee in order to support AKK in resolving the dispute in favor of AKK . At the Conciliation Committee meeting in Europay Internationals Waterloo Office , where Europay International representatives, Europay France representatives and AKK representatives including Arti Strategy participated, it was decided that Europay France should pay the agreed amount to AKK.
ARTI STRATEGY SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETED THE COMMON POS MANAGEMENT FEASIBILITY PROJECT (TEKPOS) FOR BKMArtı Strategy is appointed to provide consultancy services to Interbank Card Centre (BKM) in developing a strategy to implement a common POS (Point of Sale) infrastructure that will enable each merchant to use only one POS terminal.Common POS terminal vision aims to provide cost reduction and efficiency for the financial institutions that provide credit card acquiring services considering the current economic environment in Turkey. The new system will eliminate the redundant investment in technology and improve the operational process. As Common POS terminal vision does not require merchants to work with a single financial institution (mainly banks), it is expected that during the implementation phase of the project it will bring an additional activity to the credit card market especially in strategic and operational outsorucingAbout BKM: Interbank Card Centre (BKM) has been founded by Turkish private and public banks in 1990. Mission of the company is to find solutions to common problems of Card Payment Systems in Turkey, to develop rules and standards of debit and credit cards, and to provide legal and operational infrastructure. BKM provides services 33 members as of April 2002. Most of the members of BKM are also members of Visa International and/or Europay International.
Şekerbank
The strengthening and rehabilitation of current residence buildings in Marmara Region, especially in Istanbul, that are in the active earthquake zone become a major concern after 1999. Şekerbank decided to provide a new credit service in order to finance the individual consumers for strengthening their houses or apartments.In order to provide an additional benefit to the customers, Şekerbank signed a protocol with Gazi University and established an Earthquake Support Center in İstanbul. This center will coordinate the design and construction of the earthquake rehabilitation projects which will be funded by Şekerbank.Artı Strategy prepared the product definitions, work procedures and coordinated the PR activities for the new product, realizing the product launch within a short period of time.
