While those places have great sushi, no one combines price and quality like bluefin. All this and byob! # 21mike wrote at 20:15:30, 2003-11-07Finally my own roll!!!My months of dedication to BLue Fin have paid off with finally the Crazy Mike Roll. Watch out Mr. Rosnov, here i come… # 20Pete wrote at 16:22:26, 2003-11-07Some of the best sushi in the Philly areaI consider myself a very knowledgable sushi addict. I’ve basically been to every restaurant in and around the city in search of the perfect, yet affordable sushi. It’s very hard to come by. Sure there is Morimoto or Pod downtown and while the quality is great, the prices are outrageous. Blue Fin has the perfect combination of impeccable quality with prices that won’t break the bank. The toro, uni, and horse mackeral (aji) were all fantastic, as were the fatty, delicious pieces of salmon I got on my nigiri platter. They really treat you like gold in this place too… sit at the sushi bar and say hi to Yong and Ricky and they’ll definitely take care of you. If they’re running behind and the sushi is taking longer than expected, they’ll provide you with free sample appetizers to hold you over. What other Japanese restaurant does stuff like that? Blue Fin is really in a class of its own. I’ve only been there 3 times so far, but it has replaced my previous favorite sushi place (Cho Cho San in North Wales) already. As long as my dinners here keep up to the standard they’ve set in my first visits, I will certainly be returning often. # 19kristen wrote at 19:00:37, 2003-10-28BEST SUSHI!This is hands down the best place to go for sushi. The staff is great, and the food is always top notch. I’ve been to many sushi restaurants and this is by far my favorite. # 18Bruce W. wrote at 16:52:54, 2003-10-13What a gemI can’t say enough good things about this place. Everyone who tries Blue Fin becomes a regular. The sushi is unquestionably fresh – the preparation is always creative and delicious. The staff is friendly but don’t be surprised to get turned away if you show up on a Saturday night without a reservation. The word is getting out – Blue Fin is a real gem. 6-10 of 27 comments.
