7 December 2002Our dear family and friends,A greeting from Perth in the name of our God who is more than enough and who never fails!It is summertime now; lots of beautiful flowers and irritating flies everywhere. The weather is still cool and sunny. We have an average temperature of 25`C falling to 19`C and rising to 34`C on certain days. Again it is so wonderful to see the blue shinning sky and the beautiful cloud floating as we are constantly reminded of an Awesome God who created heaven and earth and who own the cattle of the thousand hills. It is this God who provides, protects and preserves us as we journey into this promised land flows with milk and honey.Well, we are coming to almost one year of our stay here in Perth and we are still experiencing the goodness and mercy of God everyday as we walk in love and in faith. God is still molding our characters and preparing us for the His ministry here in Perth and has brought us to many friends and opportunities for sharing the Gospel and ministering to those in spiritual, emotional and financial needs.|||Our praise and thanks go to God…|||Once again, we continue to experience miracles after miracles as God continue to protect and preserve our lives. This time round, Western Australia most poisonous spider, the Redback, bit Daniel as he was doing his usual gardening without him knowing the fatalities of the bite. His hand started to swell with burning sensation and pain from the armpit. It was by God’s Grace that a customer, who happened to be a veteran medical doctor and having his dinner at Snack Box, revealed that Daniel was definitely bitten by a Redback. He and those at the shop were surprised that I was still working in shop and did not seek medical attention immediately. That was about 5 hours since Daniel got the bite. The customer doctor advised an ice pack be put on his affected hand immediately to relief the pain and the swell and to take some anti -histamines. After confess the Word of God on healing and commit it to God, Daniel life was preserved, however the effect of the bite was agonizing. Basil and Yvonne also heard about it and came by to lay hand on my affected hand and pray for me. For 7 days, I could not sleep well and experienced uncomfortable cold sweats on the lower part of my legs. We later realized that we were not fighting with physical ailment but against principalities and the forces of darkness that wanted to discourage us from embarking on the acquisition of a business for marketplace ministry. Thanks be to God who won the victory all the times!||| Our grateful hearts go to you |||We continue to give thanks to God for all your emotional, spiritual &/or practical support given to us while we were in Singapore and in Perth. Each time we receive a letter, a phone call or an email or a visit with a word of encouragement/prayer and an assurance of your care and love, it goes a long way to strengthen our measure of faith and to lift our hearts in this richly blessed foreign land.||| What we have been up to in Perth…. |||-OUR FATHER’S BUSINESS-Snack Box business is on auto gear and doing reasonably well despite the competition and the slowing business in the month of December as most students have left for holidays or gone back to their homeland.In terms of our Father’s business, we were brought to an Iranian family who is planning to sell their going concern business in Perth to move back to Adelaide where their family are residing and their main businesses are located. We are still reviewing their business operations and praying for how God can use this as a platform for marketplace ministry in the heart of the city. So far, we are seeing God’s hands in bringing wise and godly people into our path as we explore this business opportunity. For these, we continue to give thanks and praise His Mighty Name.-THE CHILDREN-Jeremy has been working hard preparing for his final semester examination and at the same time enjoying his weekend with his friends playing beach volley ball, badminton, basketball and playing pool. His last paper will complete on 10 December and expects to graduate to Year 11 with the subjects’ combination that he wanted i.e. double science and mathematics. Isabel and Benedict do not have any major examination for this last semester but just some assignments and practical projects that they really enjoyed. Ben especially has his 3 cousins staying with him for almost 3 weeks catching up and having a jolly good time introducing and playing their OZ games and some Singapore toys and games that the cousins brought over. They also have Daniel’s mum and eldest sister, Jenny, and youngest, brother, Gary and wife, Lynn blessing them with Singapore goodies, feeding them with Singapore’s style home-cooked foods and enjoying their companion.-ANNIE-Annie as usual has been busy with the preparation of the children’ breakfast and meals for the whole family and our visitors in November and December. She also takes time to volunteer her service to coach and teach English to a couple of OZ underachievers from the children school. Weekly she would spend time with Yvonne and Julie listening/studying Irene East’s teaching audiotapes and notes and interceding for each other and their families and our friends in Singapore and Perth.-THE CHURCH-While we have been attending Grace Assembly for the last few months, however, we have been led recently to an OZ church nearer to our suburb with a vibrant youth and children ministry. Annie, Isabel and Ben enjoy the worship, friendship and the children programme in this church. They also have a stable and strong business forum ministry among the members who are business and professional people.We are seriously considering making this our home church instead of Grace as God leads us to OZ church to assimilate into OZ culture and to reach out to them.||| We are still learning… |||We are still learning to walk in His love and to live by faith each day as we submit in our spirit, soul and body in obedience to Him, who is merciful, gracious, longsuffering and abounding in goodness and truth.We were recently taught to be focus towards our calling and destiny God has placed us in Perth. In 2 Tim 4 : 5, we were reminded to have a clear mind in all situation, endure afflictions and to continue the work of bringing the gospel to the lost and needy as the ministry that God has called all of into.Let’s continue to remember that we are living during end time and should be reminded of the Great Commission given to us to bring the gospel to as many people as possible. Let’s press on!||| Barnabas Oasis… |||We have recently set up a family trust with Barnabas Oasis as the corporate trustee for the purpose of managing our income distribution and our taxation over here and Singapore as advised by our accountant.This discretionary trust will also be used to acquire the new business for the purpose of establishing a platform for our marketplace ministry and running the business God’s way. The other Father’s Business that we are also involved is a business that a group of Christian scientists started 10 years ago in US called Mannatech Inc. This company has developed a patent-pending proprietary natural food, called Ambrotose. When consume regularly as part of our food intake, it enable our body cells to communicate with each other so that our bodies function normally without falling sick as originally created so wonderfully by our Almighty God. All of us are entitled to divine health and wealth that God has promised to His children.||| 181, Summerlakes Parade, Ballajura… |||Again, God’s warring angels have been watching over our house and covering our house and household with the precious blood of our Lord Jesus Christ.Just after Daniel’s Redback experience, we suffered another scare to discourage us as we received a call from the Security Monitoring Company that our house smoke detector had been activated and that we should rush home to check the situation. True to the detection, when we arrived at out house, the whole was filled with smoke from the kitchen and the alarm was sounding. We realized that one of the pots that Annie was cooking her chickens for the children was left on, even though, Annie remember switching it off before we leave the house. Any way, nothing was burnt or damaged; somehow, God preserved our house and all its contents. Except for the thick smoke, nothing was burnt or damaged. Praise the Mighty Name of the Lord! Hallelujah! ||| Our prayer requests… |||Thank you all who pray and intercede on our behalf, please continue to pray for us:·Praise and Thanks God for who He is and for what he has done to protect Daniel, our business, our house and all of us.·Praise God for giving my mum a clear health check after her hallowing experience with a motorbike theft in Singapore. Except for some bruises and fright, she is fine.·Intercede for my mum to continue to trust God and to learn to walk in His love and to confess positive words from the bible.·Pray that we would continue to walk by faith and not by sight in all areas of our lives.·Pray hat we would continue to walk in His Love and to walk in His very best and in God’s light.·Pray that we would remain obedient & faithful to ALL that He has called us to do, despite uncertainties and difficult times.·Pray that we would trust in the Lord with all our hearts and lean not on our own understanding; in all our ways, we would acknowledge Him and He will direct our paths every day.·Pray that in the Name of Jesus Christ, the devil’s plan and scheme would be thwarted and he be off limits and excluded from our family in Perth and Singapore. In the Name of Jesus Christ, we will repel and resist any forces of darkness, any article that is not of God from entering our home in Perth and in Singapore.·Pray that as a family, we would continue to experience joy unspeakable, peace that passes understanding, harmony, agreement, health and well-being, the wisdom and mind of Christ, the spirit of obedience and humility, and a deep hunger and thirst for God and His Word·Pray for Daniel and Annie as they seek God’s leading regarding the business that they planning to buy and the godly partners to invite for this business.·Pray for Psalm 91 protection for them as they travel to Singapore and back to Perth from 17 Dec 2002 to 18 Jan 2003, and for Daniel trip to Shanghai in early Jan 2003 to visit his brother’s business operation there.·Pray for God’s warring angels to surround our house in Perth when we are away in Singapore and for continued protection of our Singapore Clementi apartment in terms of the tenants, the rental and the physical aspects of the apartment.||| A word from God … |||These are some very meaningful promises and exhortations from God’s word, the Bible that you find them life transforming when you humbly and sincerely confessed them with your mouth and they will come to pass:”He who in you is greater that he who is the world” —1 John 4:4″The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall fear?
