ARRK Invests in Specialist Tooling Service with PTS Europe Ltd. Purchase

ARRK is delighted to announce the purchase of Paignton based PTS Europe Ltd., a leading South Westspecialist Plastic Mould Toolmaker with in-house Tool Design and Precision Injection Moulding capability.

The move builds upon ARRK’s plans to increase its Tooling Services and Injection Moulding capabilities,whilst also acquiring key personnel with specialist Tooling and Moulding knowledge with many yearsexperience in the plastics industry.

Richard Yeates, who will continue to run the Paignton site as operations Director, heads up a team of 25staff offering advice on “Tool Design”, “Tool Manufacture” and “Injection Moulding”.

PTS Europe’s expertise is in the design and manufacture of Precision Multi Cavity Tools, including2 Plate, 3 Plate and Hot Runner for the Cosmetic Packaging, Electrical and Automotive industries. PTS Europe also design and manufacture 2 Shot Mould Tooling which include Multi Daylight designs with AutoUnscrewing, Air Assisted Ejection and 2 Shot Hot Runner Feed Systems.

The existing PTS Europe Tool Design operation which utilizes up-to-date software including N.C. Graphics, AutoCad and Solid Works will now benefit from ARRK’s extensive facilities and expertise.

Tool manufacture at PTS Europe is carried out using Sodick CNC Wire Erosion, Sodick CNC Spark Erosionand Hurco CNC Milling Machines which are all linked to the N.C. Graphics CAD/CAM System.

With the current PTS Europe in-house Precision Injection Moulding capabilities for tool trials and running production on a range of machines including, Demag, Boy and Arburg 2 Shot machines, the services to ARRK’s customers will be further enhanced.

The Southern Tooling and Moulding centre will continue to serve its existing client base, whilst also working alongside both ARRK’s Gloucester and Teesside sites to provide additional UK Tooling expertisefor the group overall.

The new purchase provides the foundations for a strong future and further growth for the Paignton site and ARRK in Europe.
